Freedom of association is about your right to join or leave groups voluntarily, based on similar interests or other shared characteristics. Such groups may choose to accept or reject members based on these shared attributes, to then act to forward the collective interests of its members. This can have positive outcomes, especially for those groups that may be disenfranchised as a minority within the greater context of society at large. Freedom of association is, and should be limited by the caveat that such groups may not cause harm to groups or individuals who do not fit their criteria for membership. If you believe in social liberty, where people may choose to live their lives in whichever way they prefer so long as they are not causing harm to other people or their property, then take the Liberty Kin Pledge.
